Custom user experiences in the Canva product

The Canva ecosystem had an existing set of integrations that enabled users to create publish, edit & content apps. As the platform grew to support over 85+ million users, new workflows were observed across the creator & enterprise space.

The new Canva APIs will enable teams to build custom apps to enable scaled connections, deep integration with proprietary data systems & publishing to the marketplace where Canva’s global users can discover it.

My Role

Worked as a product designer within the Data Capabilities team for the Canva Ecosystem. I led the design & test of Canva apps to enable connection with data systems in collaboration with a product manager and the engineering team.

Canva Apps are a way to bring together the tools businesses & individuals already use, or create entirely new applications, to run a business on Canva.
